Prague is easy to explore on foot, which changes everything for a group. The Old Town, Malá Strana and the Castle sit within a compact area: fewer transfers, more time to enjoy the destination, and a programme that runs more smoothly even when the traffic slows.
The city has a wide range of hotels, from four- and five-star properties in the centre to quieter addresses with more character. Its dining scene is diverse and sophisticated, and a good number of its restaurants can meet the expectations of groups who take their food seriously. And for something more relaxed, no visit is complete without a Czech beer tasting.
Beyond Prague, the castles and spa towns of Bohemia lend themselves well to excursions and to extending a stay. Further east, Moravia shows another side of the country — heritage, tradition and wine estates.
